Where’s the tree? / ¿Dónde Está el Arbol?
When you think of prayer, do you think of communal prayer or personal prayer? Is prayer an integral part of your relationships? Do you regularly pray with and for the people in your life? Do you believe that God hears and answers your prayers?
Prayer is a powerful tool of the faithful. Prayer is opening our hearts to God. When we pray with and for others, we open our hearts to each other.
Just as prayer can strengthen an individual’s faith, prayer can strengthen a family, a community, or a relationship. When we pray with and for each other, our relationships change. We relate on a much more authentic and intimate level. This month, bring prayer into your most important relationships.
Then he told them a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. Based on Luke 18:1
• I’m told there used be a phone tree in the parish. Did some one cut it down – or at least off? Did it dry up in the desert drought of indecision and complacency? OR!!! Is it one of those well kept secrets of those who are involved, presuming the rest of us know how to get into it?
Isn’t it time to replant the phone tree? Maybe even an e-mail tree for a prayer network throughout the summer. Maybe we’ll get used to it and keep it going.
In order to do that we NEED a root – some to anchor it and a group willing to phone, text message and e-mail the requests!!!
Who’s got the ganas para hacerlo and the tools to employ. Come one!! Come ALL!!
Who’s going where and when for vacation? Let’s pray they have a relaxing and un-taxing time!!! Who has brothers or sons, mothers or daughters in Iraq and Iran? The mission trip to Parral would be a good cause to raise up; as well as the upcoming women’s and men’s ACTS Retreat.
